><p>Situ\u00e9e sous le vent du Cap-Vert, \u00e0 l&rsquo;ouest de l&rsquo;\u00eele de Fogo, l&rsquo;\u00eele de Brava est la plus petite \u00eele du pays, avec une superficie de 67 km2 et une population d&rsquo;environ 5.500 habitants.<\/p>\n<p>Connue sous le nom d&rsquo;\u00eele aux fleurs, en raison de la beaut\u00e9 de son paysage favoris\u00e9 par la pr\u00e9sence de fleurs dans les jardins des maisons, un peu partout sur l&rsquo;\u00eele, l&rsquo;\u00eele de Brava est tr\u00e8s int\u00e9ressante pour sa culture, son histoire, son charme et sa c\u00f4te maritime. Cependant, quelque temps plus tard, le nom a \u00e9t\u00e9 modifi\u00e9 en raison de l&rsquo;aspect fleuri de l&rsquo;\u00eele.<\/p>\n<p>On lui a donn\u00e9 le nom de \u00ab\u00a0Brava\u00a0\u00bb, qui signifie \u00ab\u00a0sauvage\u00a0\u00bb. Le terme \u00ab\u00a0brave\u00a0\u00bb \u00e9tant un adjectif, de m\u00eame que \u00ab\u00a0sauvage\u00a0\u00bb, \u00ab\u00a0rebelle\u00a0\u00bb, \u00ab\u00a0vert\u00a0\u00bb ou tout autre adjectif, le nom de l&rsquo;\u00eele, contrairement \u00e0 celui de toutes les autres, n&rsquo;est pas r\u00e9gi par la pr\u00e9position \u00ab\u00a0de\u00a0\u00bb, comme c&rsquo;est le cas des noms &#8211; noms de choses (Fogo, Maio, Sal) ou noms de saints (S\u00e3o Nicolau, Santa Luzia, S\u00e3o Vicente, etc.).<\/p>\n<p>M\u00eame en cr\u00e9ole, il y a cette diff\u00e9rence : on dit Dja d&rsquo; Sal, Dja di&rsquo;
